1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Kalabar (“Kalabar.in”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Customer”, or “you”) and Kalabar.

By browsing, accessing, registering an account, or purchasing products on kalabar.in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our website.

2. Handcrafted & Artisanal Products

At Kalabar, our collection consists of handpicked sarees, dupattas, and handcrafted jewelry made by skilled traditional artisans across India.

Color Accuracy: We take utmost care in capturing product photography under natural and studio lighting. However, actual colors may vary slightly depending on your device screen display, brightness, and color calibration settings.

3. Orders, Pricing & Availability

• Order Placements: All orders placed on Kalabar.in are subject to product availability and confirmation of order details. Receipt of an automated order confirmation email does not signify our final acceptance of your order.
• Pricing Currency: All prices listed on the website are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise explicitly specified. Prices include applicable statutory Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless noted.
• Price Modifications: Kalabar reserves the right to revise prices, correct typographical pricing errors, or update collection details without prior notice. In the event of a pricing error on an item you ordered, we will contact you before dispatch to offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a full refund.
• Order Cancellation: We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for reasons including inventory shortages, suspicious transactions, or delivery area restrictions.

4. Pre-Booking & Custom Orders

Certain rare or handcrafted sarees are available under our Pre-Booking service, allowing customers to reserve upcoming artisanal weaves before general release.

• Lead Time: Pre-booking items require weave and crafting time. Expected delivery windows listed on the product page are estimates and may vary slightly due to artisan weaving speeds or weather-dependent dyeing processes.
• Payment Requirements: Pre-booking orders may require partial or full advance payment as specified at checkout.
• Updates: Our team will keep pre-booking customers informed regarding progress and estimated dispatch dates.

5. Payments & Taxes

We accept multiple secure payment options through accredited RBI-authorized payment gateways:

• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM)
• Credit Cards & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex)
• Net Banking across major Indian banks
• Mobile Wallets & PayLater options (where applicable)

All transactions are encrypted and handled strictly through secure 256-bit SSL gateway channels. Kalabar does not store your financial credentials.

6. Shipping & Delivery

• Dispatch Timeline: In-stock products are typically dispatched within 2–4 business days following order verification.
• Delivery Timelines: Standard domestic delivery within India takes 4–8 business days depending on destination pincode and courier routes. Remote locations may require additional time.
• Tracking: Once dispatched, a tracking ID and courier link will be sent via SMS/Email/WhatsApp.
• Risk of Loss: Risk of title and loss passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified address. Please inspect parcels prior to accepting delivery if the packaging appears visibly tampered with or damaged.

7. Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to adore your purchase. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

• Eligibility: Returned items must be unused, unwashed, in original condition with tags attached and original packaging intact. Unboxing video verification may be requested for damage claims.
• Non-Returnable Items: Customized blouses, fall/edging attached sarees, or items marked as Final Sale are non-returnable unless damaged in transit.
• Refund Process: Approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method or issued as Kalabar store credit within 5–7 business days after return inspection.

8. User Accounts & Responsibilities

When creating an account on Kalabar.in, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete personal and shipping information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account password and restrict unauthorized access to your device.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or breach of security related to your account.
• Refrain from engaging in automated scraping, malicious attacks, or unauthorized commercial resale of site assets.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials on Kalabar.in—including brand logos, trade names, text, graphics, photography, icons, design systems, and software—are the sole intellectual property of Kalabar or its content licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of this website without our explicit written authorization.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kalabar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use our website or products. Our total liability for any claim arising out of an order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific order.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tamil Nadu, India.
